Privacy Policy
Ad Blocker Pro – AdWall | Last updated: March 2026
AdWall does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. All processing happens locally on your device.
1. What AdWall Does
Ad Blocker Pro – AdWall is a browser extension that blocks advertisements, trackers, and malicious domains. It operates entirely within your browser using Chrome's built-in declarativeNetRequest API and local content scripts.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
- Browsing history or visited URLs
- Personal information (name, email, IP address, location)
- Cookies or authentication tokens
- Analytics or telemetry data
- Any data transmitted to external servers
3. Local Storage
AdWall stores the following data locally in your browser only using chrome.storage.local:
- Your extension settings and preferences
- A count of blocked requests (never tied to specific URLs)
- Your custom allowlist and user-defined rules
- A list of known malicious domains (bundled with the extension)
- Per-site enable/disable state
This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted anywhere.
4. Permissions Explained
- declarativeNetRequest — blocks network requests using Chrome's built-in engine; the extension never sees the actual request content
- tabs / activeTab — reads the current tab's URL to show per-site stats and apply site-specific rules; URLs are not stored or transmitted
- storage — saves your settings and preferences locally
- cookies — optionally deletes third-party cookies at a user-configured interval; no cookie data is read or transmitted
- scripting — injects content scripts to hide ad elements on pages
- contextMenus — adds right-click menu options for element blocking
- alarms — schedules periodic tasks (daily filter refresh, cookie cleanup)
5. Third-Party Services
AdWall does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The bundled malicious domain list is included directly in the extension package and is not fetched from an external server.
6. Children's Privacy
AdWall does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
Any updates to this privacy policy will be reflected on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
8. Contact
If you have any questions about this privacy policy, please open an issue on the extension's support page or contact us via the Chrome Web Store listing.
